Rescue Dogs at Hope for Paws Organization is a Daily Occurrence! Every rescue is rewarding for the volunteer, but in Benji’s case was heartbreaking.
On father’s day this year, a friend of mine uploaded a picture of himself hugging the street’ with the caption “happy father’s day pops.” I didn’t Get It…
To him, the streets raised him, and he later went on to explain how he was left to fend for himself on the streets so, when I watched this video, that photo came to mind. Just like that guy, Benji was left all alone to fend for himself until a foundation for rescue dogs saw him.
When Benji was found, the poor dog ran away as fast as he could from the foundation for rescue dogs. It was apparent he was not used to making contact with humans because he looked so terrified.
Benji ran until he got to a wall which he couldn’t climb, so Benji had no option but to run back towards the rescue team thinking he could bypass them, but that was when they successfully got him.
Terrified, you could see the way he breathes so hard. One look at Benji and I felt so emotional; words are not enough to describe how I felt. You could see his beautiful furs infected with fleas, and those mean little things have succeeded to eat into his skin, but the rescue dogs’ team knew he would eventually be okay.
